Our Goals
The International Holiday Group exists to identify, document, and preserve cultural and civic holidays across the world. In an age of rapid change, many local traditions risk being forgotten or misunderstood. This initiative seeks to ensure that such observances are recorded with care and shared with a broader audience.
We aim to provide a reliable, organized record of holidays from diverse regions, drawing on historical sources, community input, and academic research. By maintaining a consistent standard of documentation, the Group works to present each holiday in its proper cultural and historical context.
The Group also seeks to encourage awareness and respect for the traditions of others. By making information accessible, it supports educational efforts and promotes a greater understanding of how communities mark time, memory, and identity.
In all its work, the International Holiday Group remains committed to neutrality, accuracy, and the careful stewardship of cultural knowledge.
